Study tour to learn design processes and to boost your developer skills

On your way to the Campus you can see both the Opera House, home to the Finnish National Opera and Ballet, and Finlandia hall, a congress and event venue designed by Alvar Aalto. Both buildings resemble us Finns, respectful, connected with nature and with an enormous amount of creativity inside.

At InnoCamp, your skills and knowledge are shared in workshops to strengthen an entrepreneurial mindset, knowledge, skills and attitudes. You will get familiar with the community of competence working. You are immediately introduced to continuous development together with to the best tools for finding root causes and describing main challenges to fix during the camp.

In the evening you can relax and have a city tour by tram, enjoying Finnish food and beverages.

A new mindset for all development work

Continuous development provides a way to think about how to organize human activities to deliver more productivity. The method helps companies and people to eliminate time and money wastes. Then you will be ready for experimental development trial- a new mindset for all development work. You will escape to the unique cultural heart of Helsinki, the OODI library and do your photos there with Finns, also enjoying a pleasant atmosphere and find out the meaning of different learning environments. Even the experienced developer will expire more. The solutions such as services, processes, and business models are created in few hours together with other partners – locally, regionally, nationally, and even internationally. After the intensive but fun brain work, you will finish the day in Sauna. You will have the warmest and luxurious relaxing evening at Löyly. After this, you will understand Finnish secrets too.

Learning by doing

In the Innovations Skills Development Camp, you will handle better fast-moving situations, use structured ways of testing ideas, set goals and priorities, create ideas, and turn those into action. The third day will take you to companies to get insights and ideas to your challenge solution– far away from the classroom and to meet excellent professionals and widen your network. Development continues with chosen topics more profound. You will figure out how learning connects to user/customer-based actions and how you can redesign your solution draft quickly. The evening is yours, and you can have a look at Helsinki city as you prefer. The last day is full of action- of course! You will analyze and also learn how to make “brilliant failures”. There are no failures if you live and learn mind open. You will finalize your solutions to the scenario or action plan to be ready to follow when you return home. Of course, we will support you after the Camp and organize an online meeting with all participants in a month. All this is why we call this Innovations Skill Development Camp!
